A little help for my friend

About my friend Phil

I’ve known Phil Cory on and off for the best part of 20 years. Originally when used to come to my dental practice to bring his daughter, then aged about 5 or 6. She was always immaculately turned out, though Phil was, shall we say a bit more casual. but a great dad.

As a sad , occasional guitar strummer myself for many years, it didn’t take long for conversations to turn to his own first love- the guitar. Whenever we met I’d catch up on the latest gizmo or his musical directions.

I say Phil is a friend loosely but lets say a good acquaintance.

Well life moved on and Phil moved away from Newbury. In recent years Phil’s absolute committment to an alternative, green and eco-friendly existence has taken him “off-grid” to live a very simple life, engineering all his basic energy needs from solar panels, including powering his electric guitar amps from solar as well as cycle-generated electricity.

Phil still needs to get around as he writes all of his own songs and performs at a variety of events and music festivals around the country, living in his motor home/caravan. Phil is a real-life, latter-day troubadour. living his dream of a having a low-impact on the environment, low carbon foot-print and mainly performing his own heart-felt songs. They may or may not be your flavor but I admire his talent.

OK. Phil needs a little help to keep the show on the road. £11.50 gets you a limited edition, signed copy of his latest songs.  Phil designed and printed the cover all with solar power too.
Payment is via Paypal. All the details are here together with a couple of tiny tasters.

Phil’s other interests are no doubt many but include using/playing Crystal Bowl’s to produce soothing and he would say, healing soundscapes.

Being in the presence of these when being played is an interesting experience as the vibrations at specific musical pitches pass right through you.
Anyway, you get the idea. If you feel like supporting Phil in his quest for a greener and more eco-friendly way of living, in return for some of his music then you know what to do!
